Job Description

Provide technical support to the Bosch fuel cell research team for fuel cell testing and characterization. The intern responsibility includes operating/monitoring fuel cell test benches, processing and interpretating testing results, and carrying out physical analysis. Additional responsibility may include further development of testing methodology and/or further development of lab scale CCM fabrication process.

Qualifications

Required:

• Obtained or currently pursuing MS or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material Sciences or related technical fields.
• Strong foundation on fuel cell electrochemistry.
• Experience with fuel cell testing equipment.
• Experience with catalyst coated membrane processing and fabrication.
• Familiar with data processing and interpretation.
• Be enthusiastic and able to collaborate in a team environment.
• Curious and passionate about learning and exploring.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into simple to understand, communicable ideas.

Preferred:

• Hands on experience with PEMFC testing hardware and equipment.
• Experience with advanced characterization techniques, e.g., SEM, TEM, µXRD, etc.
• Experience with script coding, data analysis automation and interpretation.
• Publications to demonstrate past work in the fuel cell field.

Additional Information

The U.S. base salary range for this intern position is $37.00/hr-$54.00/hr. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, type of degree, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, type of position, job location, etc. Your Hiring Manager can share more details about the specific salary range for this position during the interview process.*
