Plastic Molding Technology (PMT) manufactures high precision plastic parts for automotive, telecommunications, medical device, renewable energy, and industrial customers. The primary manufacturing processes are injection molding and thermoforming. PMT has ~100 injection molding presses at its two primary manufacturing locations in El Paso, TX and Centennial, CO (a suburb of Denver). A third facility in Longmont, CO (a suburb of Denver) provides in-house repair and fabrication of tools & dies.Β

What you’ll do:

  • Design, install and continually evaluate quality assurance and/or control methods and systems
  • Develop standards, procedures, and work instructions to provide quality guidance and to facilitate training
  • Develop sampling plans and statistical methods to be utilized by manufacturing and inspection in assessing the quality levels of products and processes to include determination of control points and charting methods
  • Perform QE liaison activities as required to support internal/external customer service and satisfaction to include preparation of PPAP packages and other related requirements
  • Identify, define, and recommend issues for quality control
  • Interface with Engineering and CMM programmers to design fixtures and processes to ensure the effectiveness of measurement systems
  • Plan, conduct and take action regarding gauge R&R, product and process capability studies
  • Conduct statistical analysis in the form of capability studies, DOE's, etc.
  • Develop, generate, and analyze reports and returned products to identify trends and to facilitate corrective action/quality improvements
  • Assist in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive action for process, product, internal, and external customer concerns
  • Provide technical guidance to all personnel to assist in the use of statistical process control and problem-solving techniques
  • Coordinate and participate in material review activities to determine non-conforming product dispositions and corrective actions
  • Interpret technical data in mathematical or diagrammatical form
  • Assist the Quality Manager in creating inspection procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Proven experience as a quality control inspector or relevant role
  • A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
  • Demonstrated knowledge of advanced measurement equipment

  • Good written, and verbal communication skillsΒ
