Systems Engineer

SPX AtoN are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to meet the increasing global demand for our products and join our growing team. Facilitate the needs of our development projects by collaborating with subject matter experts and make important development and design decisions.

In this position, the successful candidate will contribute to the success of design projects, through the diligent application of Systems Engineering processes and SPX AtoN procedures.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Defining, scoping, planning and estimating engineering design change requests and carrying out the subsequent work required to complete the changes.
• Defining user needs, requirements analysis, requirements derivation and traceability,
• Architectural Designs and Concept Generation
• Creating Test Plans and Procedures
• Identifying, quantifying, documenting and realising opportunities for improvement within the SPX AtoN product range or life cycle.
• Providing technical support and advice on design changes custom orders, or improvements to ensure product success in all stages of their life-cycles and continued integration with other products
• Collaboration in interdisciplinary development teams in order to produce a solution that meets specification
   

Skills and experience

The successful candidate must demonstrate experience and success in a similar Systems Engineering position/s (with a focus on electrical engineering).

• Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering.
• Must be registered or be able to be registered with the Victorian Professional Engineers Act
• 3-5+ years’ experience in a similar Systems Engineering position (electrical), with proven success.
• Experience in electrical compliance verification or testing.
• Proven experience in the end-to-end design of a product or project.
• Ability to read and understand electrical, electronic and mechanical documentation.
• Experience in MBSE is desired not essential
